If you have not tried Frosting Ink yet it is time you do. My wife and I have been enjoying this place since it was inside Sub Station Downtown. Not once have the two of us or our friends we buy treats for been disappointed. The only thing that is disappointing is all the other so called cupcake shops popping up and trying to do what Frosting Ink has perfected. Not only are their cupcakes sub-par they are a generic recreation of what Frosting Ink has mastered. Sweet Surrender maybe it is time you raise the white flag and surrender to a better cupcake. Gimme Some Sugar... how about Gimme Some Apologies for subjecting us to your kindergarten cupcakes. Before anyone shakes their finger at me I have tried these places I condemn, and I know for a fact that some of their flavors were not around before Frosting Ink came into the picture. Frosting Ink you keep doing what you are doing because I for one can't wait to see what you come up with next, and every time I leave your shop I will continue to sing quietly to myself "Nobody does it better"

I opened up the paper on Sunday and saw the spread about cupcakes. I have tried a couple of the other shops(always to be left disapointed), but had not tried Frosting Ink yet. So I decided to see what the rave review was all about. Well, "Bakersfield's Original Cupcakery" should dub themselves "Bakersfield's Best Cupcakery." As one of the other reviewers describes it, you truley walk into a whimsical wonderland. They have every cupcake you could possibly think of on their menu, and the owner said that she has more to add. I could not decide which one to try so I took half a dozen, and they were all AMAZING! I will never go anywhere else. Frosting Ink now has a new loyal customer, surely among many. There maybe some other "imposters" out there, but Frosting Ink is the Original and Best, hands down. I received nothing but service with a smile! If you haven't tried Frosting Ink yet, believe me you will never ever be disapointed again!

I opened up my paper yesterday and was so excited to read the article on the cupcakeries around town. Frosting, Ink deserved the rave reviews it got! I have been a customer since Sheila opened the shop and her sweets have never been less than wonderful. Her cupcakes are the perfect balance of sweetness and moistness. There are always new and exciting flavors to choose from that always leave me (and the people I buy them for) wanting more.
I can not say a bad thing about the service either. I have always been greeted with a smile and been valued as a customer. I chose Frosting, Ink as my new cupcake shop of choice after the other ones in town fell short of my (and others) expectations on many occasions. I obviously am not the only one who feels this way as it was made very clear in the article yesterday.
Hands down I will continue to choose Frosting, Ink as my cupcake shop for all of my daughters events as well as the rest of my family's. You get your moneys worth and her shop is like walking into a fairytale. There are definitely a lot of other cupcakeries in town that try to duplicate Sheila's great treats however they always fall short. I don't think there is even a comparison for Frosting, Ink. Keep up the good work!!!

I went in with my party planner to look at cupcakes for a baby shower. The young lady at the counter was just plain rude! She could have cared less if we ordered cupcakes for our function or not. So, we didn't. There are too many wonderful places, like Sweet Surrender to get cupcakes from, to put up with attitude! Their cupcakes maybe wonderful, but the service SUCKS!
