Frugatti's Italian Eatery has been in Bakersfield for quiet a while now. About 10 years ago it was one of the handful of Italian eateries in Bakersfield, but now they have some serious competition...especially with Tony Romano's Macaroni Grill on Rosedale Highway.
Frugatti's food is average; there is nothing special about my experience that I can think of. My dish of choice for the evening was the lasagna; it was decent.
Frugatti's needs to either lower their prices or improve upon their menu items.

That being said, when I re-visited recently, it just didn't seem to have the same flair it used to have. The food was OK, the service was OK...just nothing to go out of your way for. I will probably come here again, but if it feels the same way, I'll probably go back to Olive Garden.
