Went there the other day with my wife. Got seated promptly but after that things went down hill. Ordered an appetizer which we got AFTER our meal:>(   The main meal was average @ best, will consider going else where for Italian.

I have experienced the buffet and dinners off the menu.  In both situations I wasn't too impressed with the food.

For years our favorite Italian restaurant was Joseph's, but something has changed and the food seems different  (new employees, or new owners?).  Sorella's was recommended to us by several friends and co-workers so we thought we would give it a try.  The restaurant is hidden on a side street behind a McDonalds Rest. on White Lane near Gossford, and quite a distance from  where we live (The "New" Northeast side of Bakersfield).  We have eaten there several times now, usually for special occasions (Anniversaries/birthdays etc.) and have never been disappointed in either the food or the service.   The prices seem to be in line with the quality of their food.   We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone that is tired of the everyday Italian served at Olive Garden type restaurants.

Good service but mediocre/bland food...beware of the fine print and their practice of nickel and diming the customer.  For example: the child's menu offers a "half and half" entree which gives a choice of two pastas for $8.75.  The waiter will ask your choice of cheese, beef or spinach ravioli.  It is only when the bill comes that you will notice an additional 50 cents charge for the two spinach raviolis and $2.00 for the meat sauce.

When we brought this to the attention of the waiter, he said he would take care of it...only to have the owner point out the fine print for additional charges on the menu for the regular adult entrees.  They would rather lose a customer than write off $2.50.  I would not recommend this restaurant for food quality or value and definitely not for good business practices.
