I was doing some research on this particular restaurant, after hearing a few strange comments.  When I looked for it in this web site it surprised me that they had such great reviews, then I read the reviews and it seems they are all written by the same person or user.  HUM-MM!

Well,  I did go and had dinner with my wife last night.  Food is actually OK.  what made the experience so bad was the lack of attention from the servers and all of the staff.  We had to wait for several minutes before we could see a staff member and flag him down.  Would not recommended it if you are looking to have a quite drink.

This is an absolutely fabulous restaurant! I have tried many of the Mexican food places in town, and this is by far the most original, best value, and best atmosphere I have found. The pepper jack shrimp is amazing. The margaritas are spot on, and the service is always friendly and attentive. You can tell the owners have a passion for what they are doing. HIGHLY recommend!

I will continue to support this locally owned and ran restaurant as long as i live and will continue to tell my freinds and family about this place. The staff is so polite and professional ask for alesandro hes a great host/owner who goes above and beyond for his customers he waited on me and my family as well as the tables around us and did a great job. If you havent tried camino real you must they offer the best mexican food and some california favorites.......try the mixed drinks and the margaritas are always top notch. Camino Real is Bakersfields Better kept secret! Like Alesandro told me the better place is Camino because better is always better than best.  Pete Tittl got this place right!
