It has been one of my favorite restaurants since it opened. I never have to wait very long in line and the taste of their food has not changed over the years.

When I am really hungry, this is one of my favorite lunch places to go. I am sure most of the menu is very good, but my favorite is Taco Salad.....and my friends' favorite is "Jake's chocolate...

When I am really hungry, this is one of my favorite lunch places to go. I am sure most of the menu is very good, but my favorite is Taco Salad.....and my friends' favorite is "Jake's chocolate cake"!!!
But it is bit pricy, very crowded and hard to find a table, and parking is a challenge!! Strongly recommended to go earlier than regular lunch hour.

I've never been disappointed eating at Jake's. Everything is always so fresh. And that cake!! YUMMMM

I find people either love Jakes or they hate it, though most love it... I went yesterday for lunch... which is always crowded but lucked into a great parking spot, so I knew I was going to have a great meal. Even with a long line, they move through it pretty quickly, unless of course you have a first timer who gets overwhelmed with all the choices.

I hadn't been in a while, so I went for a 2 meat plate and had the pit beef and garlic chicken, with Cowboy potoates and broc parm. I usually get just the chicken but wanted to give the beef a chance... it's good, but not GREAT... ok it's pretty good, but next to the Garlic Chicken... it's just good... The chicken was so tender and flavorful yesterday.... definately enjoyed it... The pototates are always great... the brocolli parm was an accident and it just just ok... I wanted the one with italian dressing and goofed...

If you've never been there, the taco salads are great... and the works burrito is wonderful... I'm not a big fan of the tri tip as I smoke my own at hom and like it more on the med rare side.... but it is still very good here at Jakes.

And everyone shoudl try the cake, it's sinful... but I passed on it this time.... which was a feat in itself. Once you've had it, it's very hard not to order it every time.

You can eat for under 10, but with the cake and a drink, its in the 10-15 range...
