I took my 6 year old nephew to John's this past Friday night and we had a BLAST! Yes, it isn't the best pizza I have had or the most spotless establishment in town, but it's FUN!
For a place geared for families, it was better than I expected. They have a salad bar with a wide assortment of fresh veggies, a pizza bar with about 10 different pizzas, a pasta and dessert bar. I enjoyed the peanut pizza that had a spicy Thai kick, the mac & cheese pizza and the BBQ chicken pizza.
My meal since it was a weekend night was more expensive than the weekday rates at around $10. My nephews was $5.
We bought a fun card with a credit of about 115 tokens. I took us about 1-1/2 hours to use it. Bumper cars are 8 tokens, skee ball 2, arcade games anywhere from 2-5. My nephew was totally in the zone with skee ball. He was so excited at the end to redeem the tickets he won for 3 prizes- a alien stamp set, dice for his mom's rear view mirror and a spinning top.

Buffet utensil cleanliness sucks for sure..one really needs to go wash your hands before eating (after getting your food) in that place..It seems like more people lately, are dirty and have absolutely no manners or respect for anyone, not even themselves...aside from the general mess, where else can you try as many different kinds of pizza, soups, salads and deserts in one place and for one price, if you do not get your monies worth, it is your own fault..nuff said..

Overall, I'll say I like John's, at least as a place to hang out. They offer a crazy variety of pizzas, ranging from the normal pepperoni pizza to peanut butter pizza. Their pizzas are OK at best. There are better pizza places in town. I only go there about once a year usually for my birthday. I like to eat in their sports room when I go. But I'll agree with the other reviews about the messes. The place could be better kept and it is often overcrowded and the parking lot isn't great. But the parking lot is the responsibility of the owner of the shopping center (correct me if I'm wrong), not John's.
As for the toys, they aren't made well at all. As a matter of fact, my 2nd cousin had his 9th birthday there earlier this year and he got a plastic soccer/air hockey table. He brought it to my house and opened it and saw that parts were missing and it just didn't work. He was not happy and my aunt, who was watching him, had to take it back. Also, some of those toys are NOT CHEAP. Some cost well over a thousand tickets each.

Ok. I know this is going to be disgusting, however, it is necessary to report. Our family has gone to John's a couple of times and during the last visit, I sat at our table, facing the main walkway of the restaurant area. I kid you not, a man was waiting for his kids and as he waited, reached into the back of his pants to scratch himself (INSIDE HIS PANTS!!!!) and went on with his business. We didn't visit the buffet after that.
I'm telling you, people have sick ideas of what's appropriate and what's not as far as first of all, common decency and secondly, basic hygiene.
I understand this has nothing to do with John's, since the establishment cannot control the nasty habits of their patrons, but it definitely left a disgusting taste in our mouths.
Another thing that bothered us was a guy who just seemed to be hanging around (without kids) staring at all the kids playing. He just gave us the creeps.
I'm thinking pizza parties at home with friends seems a whole lot safer these days, sadly.
