This place is excellent! The fried chicken breast is boneless skinless. Best waffles I've ever had. The chicken 'n dressing is like Thanksgiving -- delicious! If you like homemade tacos, try their lunch special. Everything is so good. You may have to wait a while for your food, but that's because they make it when you order it -- worth the wait! Very friendly wait staff. One of my favorite places.

Chicken and Waffles!? Can you do that? Yes you can, and it's really good, too. I dropped by J's Place for some quick lunch on Wednesday and was told by the waitress that I should try the Chicken and Waffles if I wanted to get an idea what J's was about. Who am I to argue with an expert. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles . . . and I'll do it again too.
On the way out the door I got an order of ribs and they were pretty darn good too. My next stop, I've got to try some dessert.
J's is a very small space, so be patient if you come on Sunday . . . there's gonna be a crowd from what I hear.

This place is great! The food was wonderful, and the wait staff was pleasant and accommodating to my wife, our two little sons, and me. The chicken and waffles is better than Roscoe's in LA. The sides were all very good--we had the macaroni and cheese, greens, dirty rice, and corn bread. The iced tea was always full. The fried chicken was tasty, piping hot, and juicy. I'm going back again!

AWESOME!!! I do not like waffles but these were great with the fried chicken. I also had the dirty rice. Other people in party had macaroni and cheese with waffle. The last one had hot links with dirty rice, blackeyed peas, and cornbread. Our plates were empty. Good service. Pleasant people. Willing to answer all my questions about their food.
We will definitely be eating at this place many times in the future.
