I said no, fried cornbread.He said he would check left never cameback until he brought our order with baked cornbread.I sent everything back and left. Yes | No I went to J's for the first time last night and I can't believe I'm just now learning about this place. They have the best fried chicken in town! Everything was great. The sweet potatoes were not to sweet like most places in Bakersfield. I would order them everytime. The service was great. The server Ray even sang for my friend and I. The best part about the whole dinner was that when the server found out it was our first time they gave us free peach cobbler. Posted On July 17, 2007 chef661 Food is good(when they don't run out). But service on the other hand is lousy. Last time I went no yams or cornbread. Waited 20 min. to pay check.
