I've been a customer for 5+ years.  I get my money's worth because I borrow items I don't want to or have to buy.  The computer connection speed is slow but still faster than dial-up at home.  I mostly books, DVDs, magazines, electronic databases (especially genealogy), and the computer for internet.  The librarians are smart.  Parking is free!

On the negative side, the wait for computers is long and a lot of customers seem to live there and there are wild children running around unsupervised.  The building is beautiful but looks beaten up by graffiti, trash, and overuse.
