I have lived in the Northeast for most of my life and Lam's was a favorite of my parents and is a favorite of mine.  The spicy shrimp is a automatic order, no matter what we are actually going for.  Order to take out, and bring your own Tupperware for the egg flower soup since they don't have soup to go containers.  Worth the inconvenience, though.

This is my husband's favorite Chinese restaurant.  I personally am not too crazy about Chinese food because it can be rather bland, but after trying the food at Lam's, I changed my mind.  The food is really tasty and they give you so much.  The service is good and the staff is friendly.  Gerardo is one of the best waiters in Bakersfield.  If you haven't driven across town to try Lams, you don't know what your missing.  The best Chinese Food in Kern County.
