My favorite place in Bakersfield. Great atmosphere, food and service. Friday and Saturday they have New York Steak and it is to die for. I always get it rare with White Pasta. On the rare occasion I don't get the New Yor, it's because they have filets that day. Go early and stay late. Great place to have a get together with family and/or friends.

I've only been there once, but I can't see how it gets such high ratings.  The place is old and in need of some improvements.  There are only one or two items that can be ordered from the menu.  The food was good, but nothing spectacular.   Despite that they still had a packed house.  It was so packed that we could barely move inside.  I was trying to enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for our table, until someone bumped me causing me to spill my  wine.   When we finally did get to eat, I wondered why in the world would anyone go through all of this for an average meal? 

One word:  overrated.  The prices are too high for portions that are too small.  Don't get me wrong--the food is good, but it's not THAT good.
