I went to Pacific Theaters on a recent Tuesday afternoon and saw "Meet The Spartans."   It was my first visit there in many years and my last at least for a while.  The movie wasn't bad.  But, the popcorn wasn't very good.  It was barely warm.  It was not very busy (I was there around 1pm).  I'll admit that my experience wasn't quite as bad as Steve4FB's, but I can say that their restrooms could be a bit cleaner!  And when the movie was over, there were no employees standing in front of the theater waiting to go in and clean up.  At Edwards there is always at least a couple of employees there waiting for everyone to leave so they can clean up and get the theater ready for the next showing.  Not so at Pacific!  The staff needs to take more pride in their establishment.  I do not recommend Pacific Theaters.  Instead, keep heading down Ming Ave to Edwards Cinemas.

I really hate going to this theater... as a matter of fact, the only reason I ever go here is movie times...  If I'm going to go eat a sit down dinner after work then catch a movie, Edwards...

I really hate going to this theater... as a matter of fact, the only reason I ever go here is movie times...  If I'm going to go eat a sit down dinner after work then catch a movie, Edwards makes it hard because most movies start around 7ish... and Pacific has the movies starting around 8... 

This was the case Thursday as we had dinner at El Portal and then went to Pacific to watch Fools Gold... 

Pros: convienent evening movie time, decent candy selection

Cons:  Nothing really about the quality of the screen or seats... its just stuff I don't want to put up with when I go spend so much on a movie nite...

1.  This theater always smells like gym socks... I don't know why, but it does, and they really need to fix that.. 

2.  Service without a smile, it's like the workers there have been beaten in submission...  there wasn't an ounce of joy radiating from one person working there...

3.  Did I mention the smell?

4.  It was a pretty slow night... I think there was 8 of us in our movie.  I went to the restroom after the show, so it was close to 10 pm...  every trashcan was overflowing... its not like there was a stampede of people...  And the first sink was clogged with vomit..  nasty.. .worse, a large portion was dried... so this was 10 min puke... this could have been an hour or 2 old...  maybe longer...

When I exited the bathroom after using the sink 2 spots down from the vomit, I ran into the manager and 2 other employees...  I told them about the state of the restroom... the all said ewww... and then continued walking away from the restroom and basically ignored it...

This is only my 3rd visit to Pacific in about 2 years...  I think I'll just eat earlier from now on and pass on Pacific...
