	With a name like Pirate, it sounds like a station only bad boys would like. Maybe so, but I enjoy it too. It's a "70s to today" format or what's being called...gulp..."the... With a name like Pirate, it sounds like a station only bad boys would like. Maybe so, but I enjoy it too. It's a "70s to today" format or what's being called...gulp..."the next generation of oldies." I used to listen to this station in other markets I've lived in and enjoyed the mix, so I was thrilled when American General Media brought it to Bakersfield. I enjoy the DJ free format. It's a great station to listen to if you are in the mood for some classic rock.
