My husband and I are originally from the Chicago area, and we are very familiar with what a Chicago pizza should be like. After being disappointed with most of the other pizzerias in town that offer "Chicago pizza" (hardly), we decided to try Jimano's. The pizza wasn't entirely what we expected from Chicago pizza (no sauce on top, but cheese on top instead), but it was delicious. By far the closest Chicago pizza we've found in this town. It was delicious, piled on with toppings, and it was ready for pick up in 30 minutes (most places in this town offer "fast" delivery/pick up in 45 min to an hour). I was pretty pleased in that they offer green olives -- not many places around here do that either. When we picked up our pizza, we were greeted by a very friendly staff, and the pizza and sides were very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this pizzeria, and my husband and I will go back again to try more of their menu.

Great Place!!! The employees are always very friendly and very helpful. The wait is great its only about 30 mins. for a hot, fresh pizza. We have eaten in about 3 times and ordered out about twice. Through that we have learned that you have to order a smaller size than you do at other places. Very filling pizza... Poor us huh??, we even usually even have leftovers. Great value and great pizza!!!!

An insult to Chicago Style pizza and pizza in general. We tried the thin and the “Chicago Style” deep dish...BOTH WERE TERRIBLE.Regarding the Chicago Style deep-dish, at Jimano’s, they put the sauce on the dough first, then the veggies/meat, and then the a thick layer of cheese. That makes for a soggy crust because the moisture from the fresh veggies under a layer of cheese on top acting as barrier, basically steams the veggies and makes the dough soggy. Chicago Style deep-dish isn’t made like this. The crust is supposed to be a flaky & buttery with the sauce on top…not like a doughy bread bowl of goo with the sauce and veggies under the cheese..what is that?? Not to mentionthe toppings don’t cook correctly and come out more bland than if they are cooked on top of the pizza where the excess moisture can evaporate and allow the toppings toget more roasted instead of steamed, making them more flavorful. The thin-crust pizza was also on the doughy side and it was ridiculous. There’s wasn’t any kind of “crunch” that a thin pizza crustshould have and the cheese was like unflavored plastic.I did like the sauce though. IMHO, the crust is the deal breaker, if the crust isn’t prepared or cooked correctly it ruins the entire pizza. Maybe we came on a bad nightor something, if that’s the case, they should really work on their quality control! My husband and I lived in Chicago and ate plenty of deep-dish pizza and this isn’t it!This was our first time having Jimano’s and will NEVER AGAIN! I can think of 10 other places in town that have better pizza. What a waste of money and calories on something that tasted soooooo bad! My husband and I were truly insulted, we were really hoping for a good Chicago Style deep-dish pizza!! If you want to know what a true Chicago-style deep dish pizza is all about…check out these websites http://www.loumalnatis.comhttp://www.giordanos.com/ma...http://www.unos.com/
I can’t comment on the other food items on the menu since we didn’t try them, but the Jimano's in Bakersfieldhas a funky/terrible interpretation of Chicago Style deep-dish & thin-crust pizza.

I really would like to read this one star review that you gave us. I'm not sure what happened maybe you just had a bad day and wanted to take it out on us. If you are going to give us a bad review at least let us read it! Thanks Jim @ Jimano's
