One thing that definitely surprises me about this restaurant link is that not one reviewer has mentioned the great personality of these workers! :)
All so very often these days, we deal with restaurants filled with impersonal working crews. And not only that, we get poor service and poor food.
Pizzaville, however, is anything but that. It is a restaurant of true quality! They serve thin-crust pizza, salads, soft drinks, hard drinks, sides, anything you can imagine!
In addition to that, the working crew sure know how to make customers happy. When you get a salad from this place, it is actually fresh. When you get a pizza from the front, it is actually hot. When you get a soda, they fill it up for you and be extra sure that there is a lid on the cup.
Now, as for the architecture itself, all I can say is... Jesus! This place is old! Wooden texture, indoor signs, furnished tables, ancient lighting fixtures... have we all seen this before? Yeah, this is like those original Shakey's locations! Shakey's was like that, right? Don't know what I mean? Check out the old Shakey's location near CalState Northridge!
There are some annoying things to expect about Pizzaville, and I actually can explain it in exact detail. The first time I visited, 1 or 2 of the arcade video game machines had no "out of order" signs posted on them. Why? Well, maybe someone took the signs off as a prank, so I let that one slide.
On my second visit, I get my salad and then go over to the side to get croutons. I come to the crouton bucket, and the crouton spoon that should be there is missing. Okay, so I'll assume that somebody took the spoon and magically walked out with it... RIGHT! Who would steal a spoon for the croutons? Who would steal "out of order" signs? Something fishy here...
All in all though, this is a must eat-at for anyone interested in dining at Bakersfield. The food quality holds up, and the place is very clean. No dirt can be seen anywhere, and the flies are absent from class. If you are looking for a great pizza parlor, look no further! Come here to Pizzaville!
