Firehouse Restaurant's Response:
Hey Texas Ranger, the BLT wasn't working with the fried tomatoes for us as well so we switched it to a more traditional variety a few months ago (benefit of being locally owned and operated). We do not purchase frozen food and "reheat" it, but we also don't butcher our own meat either :). Glad you enjoyed the fries and the wait staff! Take care.

Rebuttal: Russ I read your response to my review and situation. Unfortunately Russ, it was you who I had spoken with twice and you assured me you would handle it. Well I never heard from you and you never handle it. If you had, I wouldn't have even written this review this way. I have been in management I understand mistakes can be made, but correcting those mistakes through great customer service and follow up is great. I'm sorry but you failed at that.
My first time trying out the Firehouse was displeasing. The set up seem to be great with all the pool tables and activities. However, the food was a little below average. We ordered fish and it was if it was fried in old oil. It was pretty hard and the coleslaw had no flavor.
The worst part about it all was they ripped me off. Someone added an extra tip to my bill i discovered later through my credit card. I had already left a cash tip. I phoned the manager twice, he said he would take care of it. This was in June. I have received no word nor apology from them yet. So I had to go to my bank and dispute the charge.
I think you need to hire more honest people, and followup with good customer service. I'm not sure if I would try again. Maybe to play pool. I have definitely learned to balance and close out my receipts.
Firehouse Restaurant's Response:
Hmmm. You posted on Yahoo reviews a month ago as well. A manager is always on duty, and can easily correct any mistake with your credit card. Rest assured we do not "rip people off" nor am I a proponet of hiring "dishonest people". So again, feel free to call anytime and ask for a manager to correct any issue you are having, and I am sorry you had a seemingly less than great experience at the Firehouse. Russ

We gave the Firehouse a try over the 4th of July weekend for lunch and we loved it. The music playing was great as well as the multiple big screen TVs. The food was great and the beer was cold which made for a very enjoyable lunch with my wife. The service was a little slow as there was only about 15 or 20 people in the place. But maybe they were short handed because of the weekend holiday. We look forward to returning. It is nice to have a good place to eat in the southwest part of town since T-Bones is an absolutely terrible place to eat at. Firehouse keep up the good work!!!
