The quality of the food is not in question for me. I find their sushi to be fresh and mixed in fun and interesting combinations. It's their service that I take issue with, especially if you sit at the sushi bar versus a teppan grill. The teppan chefs range from mediocre to great depending on who you get, but I have sat at the sushi bar several times, and have yet to have good service at those tables. The time spent waiting for anything: beverages, food, the check, ...is RIDICULOUS!

I say compare this service, atmosphere and food to other sushi in town and you will see why Shogun's is so successful.  Always a great time and place for any special occasion.

I went there for the first time with my fiance for dinner today. It's a couple of dollars pricier than other sushi places, but we had a decent meal.  We only ordered a couple of sushi rolls, which we both enjoyed. The next time we go, we'll bring some of our friends to experience the teppanyaki. We were watching other groups enjoy themselves and laugh obnoxiously (maybe they drank too much sake).  I'm a bit surprised to see that all the chefs there (that night) weren't in fact Asian.
