When it comes to wanting to have fresh pastries,Smith's is the only place for me. I've tried others , but it's easy to taste the difference between a fresh baked pie or pastry versus a frozen one. Just for a little info...The owner of Smith's Bakeries..(main store 2808 Union) is a Master Baker...and is hands on all areas of the bakery...In closing my review, people order pastries from Smith's all over the world.. and no I don't work there ............or own stock

But if your stuck on a sugar free diet and you dont want a stale old apple pie from one of the other bakeries ..try a berry from Smiths..we shop at the store on Hagmen and Coffee..tell Patty we sent ya.

I only go to Smith's Bakeries for one thing: their happy-face sugar cookies (bright yellow faces with chocolate eyes, nose, and mouth).
They're expensive, so I only buy a dozen once every other month or so. BUT MAN ARE THEY DELICIOUS. AND WORTH IT.
As for their other goods, I'm mute. Like I said, I only buy sugar cookies, and in that department, Smith's Bakeries deserves four stars.
