 I have to disagree somewhat with the previous review. I have noticed that the staff at Stockdale music spends a great deal of time with the customer to answer all their questions. They're not just about selling gear but giving something they would actually use themselves. I have been shopping there for years and sadly business has slowed down. Yes, there are sometimes employees who lack knowledge with a certain product, but they usually don't stay there a long time. Everyone has a bad experience somewhere. Stockdale Music is for the most part a great store.

Our family has bought many things at Stockdale Music over the years but sadly, their service is not as good as it used to be.  We've bought acoustic guitars, drums, cymbals, drumsticks, music books, and have taken lessons there (piano, guitar, and drums).  First off, the music books are really disorganized and they don't seem to have anyone knowledgeable about sheet music.  They used to have this neat gal there that knew everything.... well, she's been gone for years.  Then we asked them for a price on cymbals; they took down our name/phone number and NEVER got back with us.  When we called two weeks later they again took down our info and again NEVER called us back.  It's as if the salespeople aren't trained how to deal with customers.  Now we buy everything online.  Too bad.
