I was reading and advertisement on a website as to the “Fastest way to South East Asia” and realized that I had a better one up my sleeve, as they say.
I stumbled upon a local restaurant “Thai House” located at 5143 Ming Ave and found myself indulging in a cuisine that tops everything I have ever had the pleasure of savoring.
I have always had a taste for Asian Cuisine, and have visited many local restaurants from the least expensive to the upper scale, and have had wonderful experiences.
Part of what I enjoy in Asian food is their ability to combine the different flavors such as the sweetness of Orange Chicken with the Spiciness of Kung Pao.
But, Recently I visited the Thai House and realized what I have been missing. The flavor of the food was delicious. . Thai food has it all, If your preference is Sweet or Spicy whatever your heart desires.
While I was enjoying my dinner another patron sitting across from my table must have noticed my delight because she asked my opinion.
When I mentioned that I had never had the pleasure of enjoying Thai food she mentioned that she had visited the Thai House for years. She made a point to tell me that the quality and taste had improved tremendously since the new ownership.
She then suggested Dessert “You have to try the Sticky Rice with Mango” she said. Huh? I did. Wow!!! DELICIOUS!!!
Evidently Mr. Somchai Chamcharoenchainon purchased the business a couple of years ago and greatly improved the quality and taste.
Needless to say I have visited the Thai House several times since then and have had a wonderful experience every time. The service is also great!!!
I would rate this restaurant a 5 Star and encourage all who have not been there to visit and Indulge……

Absolutely my favorite place to eat in Bakersfield. A coworker introduced me to this restaurant a few months ago and now I have to eat there at least once a week (if not more). Try the Drunken Noodle with chicken. It's amazing. Don't be too afraid of the spice, it's part of the experience (I always order my food medium spicy there). Try it soon!

Are you looking for a vegetarian or vegan meal? Try Thai House!
There is a decent sized vegetarian section on the menu. They were VERY accommodating, offering substitutions in the non-vegetarian items to make them vegan and even let me know that the batter on the fried bananas are milk/egg free! (And they're tasty too!)
Even if you're not veg this is a great place to go! They're friendly, have lots of items and aren't too expensive! The service is quick too.

This is the best Thai Restaurant in town. Being from Thailand and having owned the Thai Orchid, I was excited when several Thai restaurants opened recently. After we closed the Thai Orchid (we were before our time and the location wasn’t great), my wife and I would often head for LA early evening just to get a good Thai food fix. So having one so close has been wonderful and it is also fantastic that the Thai House is the closest Thai restaurant to our home and in my opinion it happens to be the best of the Thai restaurants in Bakersfield because they cook real authentic Thai food. I highly recommend this the Thai House. We have run into several of our Thai Orchid customers at Thai House and they say the same thing. We appreciate Pete Tittl’s great reviews of our restaurant and hope that he will give the same consideration to the Thai House. Signed the Nakornthap family.

I went here for the first time last night. I absolutely loved my dinner: Gai Kua. Usually I order Pad Thai at Thai restaurants, but this time I branched out. The dish was made from fat noodles like in Rad Na, and included chicken, squid, bean sprouts, and green onions. Interestingly, it was served over a shallow bed of iceberg lettuce -- which was surprisingly tasteful once soaked in the light gravy.
My friend, whose birthday was yesterday, is in love and ordered the "Lover's Honeymoon." It looked beautiful, with large chunks of pineapple and bell peppers and shrimp. Yum.
We started with fried tofu and peanut sauce (delish) and ended with fried banana and vanilla ice cream (also delish). My one complaint is that this restaurant does not offer fresh spring rolls -- my absolute favorite Thai appetizer. But I will go back, as it is now the closest Thai restaurant to my house.

Everything I've had at Thai House has been delicious! I've been all over the country eating at Thai restaurants, and this one is (cross my heart!) the second best one I've ever been to.
My favorites there are the Tom Kha Gai (Coconut soup), Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), and the yellow curry. I haven't tried everything there... mostly because I'm afraid it won't be as good as those!
(My favorite Thai restaurant is Krua Thai, in North Hollywood. They cheat by using MSG and bold, not-so-authentic flavors, but it is still amazing!)

LOVE this place!!! I have lunch here at LEAST once a week. When my friends come to visit from out of town, we always dine here. They love it too!
The chefs use quality ingredients, the presentation of the meal is very good, and the service couldn't be better.
When you go, you MUST try the fried bananas for desert. (You'll have to save room, though... the lunch and dinner portions are generous.)
