Ah yes... the last time my car was actually on this property the food was popcorn, frozen pizza, hot dogs or hamburgers. The Crest Drive-In movie theater. Well now it's an upscale RV park (R.V. Resort). They kept the name for their eatery... The Crest Bar and Grill. We called ahead to see if we needed reservations being around 7pm on a Saturday...(nope)...what about a dress code (nope)... great !! When we walked in it reminded me of a clubhouse at a country club... nice decor. We were seated at a very nice location. I had read previous reviews on this place before and every one raves about the Calamari... not being squid fans ourselves we tried the stuffed mushrooms instead, very nice, they came with a real nice dish of marinara. My wife had the soup of the day (some kind of spicy chicken chowder, it was good, I tried some), I had the salad (very fresh, crisp and generous). Jessica (our waitress) was very nice (even though she neglected to tell us the specials they had that night. We overheard them from the waiter at the table next to us after we had ordered. Nothing we would have ordered anyway, but still it would have been nice to hear them). We came for steaks and really didn't want the Saturday night routine at Tahoe Joe's or Outback (two hour wait and all).My wife ordered the fillet Mignon (topped with melted gorgonzola, 8oz. $23.95) I opted for the 10oz New York. topped with sauteed mushrooms ($19.95). The starch options were mashed potato's, french fries or rice pilaf (a baked potato offering would have been nice). All in all a pretty nice dining experience... a little pricey though... around $70 for two before tip. I would give it about a 6 or 7 on a 10 scale. BTW their full menu is printed in the Yellow Pages. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. 7am to 9pm daily.

Don't let the fact that this restaurant is in an RV park scare you away. Now, it is a bit odd to walk into a restaurant surrounded by RVs, a mini golf course and a swimming pool, but once you're inside you forget about all of that. The restaurant is decorated nicely with dark wood, although there are too many TVs for my taste. The food was better than I expected. I ordered a Garden Pita Pocket, and to keep things healthy a side of Onion Rings. The Pita Pocket was basically a Pita with a salad on top. It was tasty and the presentation was very nice. The onion rings were HUGE and also very tasty. My lunchmates had the Salmon and a Philly Cheesesteak-type sandwich and the both reported that they were good as well. Be aware that they only serve Fish n' Chips on Friday. The Crest also has a nice bar and had some decent beers on tap, including a Lengthwise selection, Fat Tire, Blue Moon and Stella. I didn't get to look closely at the wine list, but from an initial glance it looked affordable.
This is a picture of the onion rings I had. They were Huge!

Has anyone been to the new place to eat in town, The Crest Bar & Grill,WOW.This place is great. The food is wonderful, if you like calamari thenget
it, this was recommended to me by a lady at the front desk and she didn't
lie, it is some of the best calamari I have ever had. Being that I was in a fishy kind of mood I also got the grilled lemon pepper halibut once again
WOW, There aren't very many places to eat on this side of town and the people at The Crest Bar & Grill know what they are doing. And to top off my
great dinner my husband and I shared the brownie sundae and I'm glad we did, it was so big. It was the perfect end to the perfect dinner.

We have dined at Crest Bar & Grill several times including last Friday evening. The food is always great, service is good, and prices are reasonable. Last Friday evening (October 12) was an exception and disappointment. It seems that once a restaurant becomes popular and highly frequented that the level of service falls off (i.e. The Prime Cut). Our last experience is, unfortunately, the case. We were disappointed. We really want this restaurant to make it but dry, overcooked fish, undercooked fries, and dry steaks eatable only with A1 sauce is not going to win this place any long term customers. The service was poor from a gal that tried hard but just couldn't make the grade. Come on Crest, don't let your guard down. You have to be "on" every night. Keep up the original effort you had early on. We all know its a tough business but please don't slip. We'll give you another try or two but beyond that our expectations must be met.
The Crest Bar & Grill's Response:
We here at The Crest Bar & Grill take great pride in the quality of our food and our service. We appreciate the comments that this venue allows people to post regarding their thoughts of our dining establishment. We depend on our regulars who know the standard that we have set for ourselves to be candid regarding their experiences with us. We hate to see our guests leave this restaurant feeling that their expectations have not been met. Please inform management so that we may appropriately handle the situation by bringing a new steak, fries or fish. We will bend over backward to satisfy our guests because we care.
Sincerely
The Crest Bar & Grill
