Excellent Sunday Brunch!
Excellent Sunday Brunch!
On my recent visit to Bakersfield I was able to eat at The Garden Spot a few times.
I’ve never been disappointed. Their dinner entrees are always very good. I love their taco bar and the champagne chicken.
To my surprise and much pleasure we got to have Sunday Brunch. What an Incredible brunch buffet! It includes the salad bar, bakery station, six soups, an omelet bar, tri tip carving station waffles, chicken, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs benedict, fresh fruit crepes, and much more. Try The Garden Spot you will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this place because I'm all about eating healthy and fresh.
I was able to make my own salad with a variety of good veggies and beans. They had a weird fruit salad, potatoe salad, and some marinated vinegar mushroom dish along the buffet. I opted out of the tofu when I saw the taco bar had it's grilled chicken out [though it was skim pickins!]
There was a few french folks there who came on a bus, so I may have missed out on all the Mexican food now that I read another one's familiar experience and review.
The soups are so good. The turkey chili is hearty and the bean soup with cabbage is just right. I mixed the both together and boy was it delicous.
They could use work on the dessert isle. The sugar free pudding was alright but the fruit (cantelope and honeydew) wasn't up to par.
Overall, I'll be back!!!

I knocked off one star for their parking lot. If you don't own a Prius, parking is very tight.

Excellent Basque bean soup and the freshest produce. Very reasonable price for a healthy meal. Your town has a gem in The Garden Spot.
