If it were an option, I'd give this place half a star. I have visited the Prime Cut at it's new location many many times, being that it is so close to my office. I stopped in one day to order food to-go, and the server walked in right behind me as I came through the door and was still glad to serve me even though she had just arrived herself. She was patient while I made my decision, and was very personable! Service has always been AMAZING! Within ten minutes, my order was ready. She had called me over, and before I'd gotten to the counter, her manager began scolding her! He was upset that the styrofoam drink cups weren't stocked properly. How petty?! I felt it was highly inappropriate for him to do so in front of me. And she literally arrived right when I had and hadn't been there more than fifteen minutes! I didn't think he realized I had stepped in, but I heard the girl stammer to try and mention it. The poor girl looked like she was going to cry. I later found out that it wasn't her manager, it was THE OWNER. Horrible. I couldn't believe what I had witnessed. This was months ago, but I decided to check on some reviews before going back, and decided to share.. And I am still not ready to return.

	THIS PLACE IS NOISY! The "open" ceilings, with the exposed duct work, and the concrete floor, make this place noisier than a Super Bowl game after a touchdown. Prices are a la carte, and on... THIS PLACE IS NOISY! The "open" ceilings, with the exposed duct work, and the concrete floor, make this place noisier than a Super Bowl game after a touchdown. Prices are a la carte, and on the high side. Our service was friendly and quick. Too quick, in fact! A filet ordered well done was served blood rare, and had to be sent back. The filets we had were tasty and good, however. Engaging in a conversation with my spouse, who sat across the table from me, was difficult because of the noise from a group of drinkers who were enjoying a sporting event on the television. We won't return. One visit was enough.

	I really wanted to like this place. The place is original and interesting, it really has a good atmosphere. But I don't think I'll go back. Somone mentioned a sticky table, my... Somone mentioned a sticky table, my wife noticed that right off, not that we're picky, but thought it a little odd. I sort of wanted a burger, but $12??? for a burger, not for me. I ordered the tri-tip...I was disappointed, it was a little dry, and very little seasoning. The onion rings were fantastic though. However my margarita was very watered down. Overall, I'd say that it might appeal to some, the food wasn't horrible, just not worth the price, and I'd not order a mixed drink there, a beer would be a better option (they can't mess that up) Service was ok, not great but not bad. We won't be going back, too bad too, I really make it a point to support local business, but only if they try hard to please. I gave two stars because we won't go back, I'll go back to an average place.

	The Prime Cut is Bakersfield secret jewel. The menu is so varied and everything is excellent. From the Prime or Choice steaks to the cajun selections. The atmospehere is fun and inviting. This... This diner gives the Prime Cut "two thumbs up"! I will definetley be back with my friends.
