Without a doubt this is the best sushi in Bakersfield. While I don't claim to have a sophisticated pallette, my wife is born and bred in southern california (I imported her) and is quite the sushi connoisseur. Toro is satisfying to both of us.

Everything was so delicious! i absolutely loved the food. i went on their first Tuesday dj night. and i had such a blast! the atmosphere everything was great!

the one thing i was a little irritated about was the service, it was really slow. and a couple times througout the night our server just completely left us hanging.

for example, i ordered a dessert. and after waiting 45 minutes for it i finally caught our server asking about my dessert. so he checked on it, and came back telling me that they were out of the bananas necessary to make it! and therefore i couldn't have it! hmm well it wouldve been much more appreciative if id have not been waiting nearly an hour (and it really was an hour im not overly dramatic) for the dessert.

but other than that, i absolutely love the atmosphere, and i plan on making it a tuesday night ritual. the dj was amazing!
