My girlfriend and I took at trip to Uricchio's Trattoria just for a quaint dinner. We wanted somewhere nice to eat and we were dressed somewhat formal. We made reservations, which really wasn't need that night. As we arrived we were seated next to a window, so we were able to look out and see the streets of downtown. I'd like to brag about how good our waiter was throughout the evening, it might have because not too many were there but she was exceptional.
At start, I order a small bowl of Minestrone soup, which is TO DIE FOR. I love a good minestrone soup, and my girlfriend, ordered a caesar salad, she too said it was fantastic. For my entree I order Spaghetti with Meatballs, it came served on a large plate/bowl, with mounds of sprawling noodles and top a two golfball sized meatballs covered in sauce. It was almost too much to finish. My girlfriend order some sort of chicken dish, wasn't too sure of what she got, but she said it had a "cajun" feel to it and said the bell peppers made it delicious. The only problem I had, which was very minimal and not worthy of taking a star away, was towards the end when we wanted to order dessert, a different waitress brought out my girlfriends dessert, but completely forgot about mine, but overall they were fast on the drinks and service was great.
Great place to have a romantic evening for fun or for a special occasion.

Took my wife to Uricchio's for her birthday and was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The food and service were both excellent. The outdoor seating was an added bonus, and very relaxing to enjoy a glass of wine. Overall, Urrichio's is an excellent choice for any occasion. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could tell you how the food was, but we were never served so we never got a chance to order. I had heard nothing but rave reviews about this local place and decided it was finally time to try it as my husband and I planned a nice evening out and we wanted something more intimate than a chain could offer.
We had reservations and were sat right away and someone brought out bread and butter and said our server would be right out. First of all, the bread and butter was a major diappointment and indication to us that things may not be as nice as we had heard; honestly, cold butter and room temperature bread of the same quality as Albertsons. As we looked over the menu and waited for our server we couldn't find anything that really stood out while we tried to decide what we wanted to order, nothing we couldn't make and enjoy on our own at home, for the most part. While the prices for the pasta were pretty reasonable, the one steak on the menu was upwards of $35 and this isn't even a steakhouse.
Anyhow, we had decided what we wanted and tried to have a concersation while waiting for our server, but the tile floor and tables that are crammed into a very small space made it imopssible to hear eachother, despite our extremely small table. All we could hear was the conversations at the tables next to us, I' not sure if there was any music playing because I couldn't hear it if there was. Eventually, I realized I was really thirsty and noticed that the table near us was receiving their beverages. At this point we had been seated for twenty minutes, been given cold bread and butter, no water, and didn't even know who our server was, and it was a slow Tuesday night. The server for the other table finally noticed us and asked if she could at least get us some water, which was really nice since it wasn't her fault we had been ignored, but we decided that we were really hungry and we were not enjoying ourselves at all, so we left. There wasn't even anyone at the front to notice that we left.
We went to Outback, where we were seated, served, and refreshed immediately, with several servers and managers connstantly checking to see if we were happy. And we could hear our own conversation with no problem. Say what you want about the chains, but they are successful for a reason and the local businesses could learn a few things.
Just another local place that all the locals seem to think is great, but I can't figure out why. Please tell me, WHY????

Urrichio's has changed. The last 2 times I've been there, the smoke from the grill is so thick and the smell of grease has stayed on my clothes all day. I have always loved their food and ambience but I am wandering if the upkeep of the facility is not being done.
