This was my first time to this place. It was recommended from the staff at Luigi's as an option because they only serve lunch. We found it looked real busy for a Tuesday night. The only thing I cared for was the appetizer of Calamari. I have tried 4 Italian eateries here in the last 12 months all sub par. I will say this has been the best service of the four though. All seem to have average food quality with average ingredients. Where can I find classic Italian fare in this town? Give me traditional osso bucco with risotto milanes not penne pasta or seaonal vegetables. How about a simple made to order risotto with mushrooms. Is there a restaurant that changes menus at least 4-5 times a year? And uses ingredients grown in the centrall valley?

I'm completely in LOVE with this place, and I always ponder why I don't go back more often.
Price wise, it's comparable to any other Italian joint, and the food is twenty times better.
My wife and I went last night, and again, off the charts good.
If I was to have a complaint, is that the bruschetta is made with stewed tomatoes and not the fresh tomatoes that was used before the tomato crisis. But don't fret, I understand you can order it with fresh or stewed.
In my 5 years of going to this place, I've only ordered ONE thing because I'm in love with it, and that's the Canneloni! WARNING: The canneloni is highly addicting and you'll never order anything else. So hot, so fresh, so good. My wife and I actually got into a little arguement about the food that we had to take home. We sounded like the seagulls from Finding Nemo "Mine.. Mine.. Mine..."
And if you don't like the main room because of the noise, the ask for the back room. Much quieter, and a little more romanitic!
Never a dissappointment when we go to Uricchios.

My girlfriend and I took at trip to Uricchio's Trattoria just for a quaint dinner. We wanted somewhere nice to eat and we were dressed somewhat formal. We made reservations, which really wasn't need that night. As we arrived we were seated next to a window, so we were able to look out and see the streets of downtown. I'd like to brag about how good our waiter was throughout the evening, it might have because not too many were there but she was exceptional.
At start, I order a small bowl of Minestrone soup, which is TO DIE FOR. I love a good minestrone soup, and my girlfriend, ordered a caesar salad, she too said it was fantastic. For my entree I order Spaghetti with Meatballs, it came served on a large plate/bowl, with mounds of sprawling noodles and top a two golfball sized meatballs covered in sauce. It was almost too much to finish. My girlfriend order some sort of chicken dish, wasn't too sure of what she got, but she said it had a "cajun" feel to it and said the bell peppers made it delicious. The only problem I had, which was very minimal and not worthy of taking a star away, was towards the end when we wanted to order dessert, a different waitress brought out my girlfriends dessert, but completely forgot about mine, but overall they were fast on the drinks and service was great.
Great place to have a romantic evening for fun or for a special occasion.
