Have you ever been to Wal-Mart? I can say that many people have not, although the popularity of this chain is growing bigger than ever. In the face of competitors such as Target and Sears, Wal-Mart gains as many as 250,000 new customers a month. Now I know that the chain in general is ridiculed for treatment of workers and hazardous environmentalism, but let's give this location on Rosedale a chance. :)
When it comes to visiting a Wal-Mart, I must say that the service here is relatively pleasant. Not all of the workers are very social, but they all do care about customer needs. I ask them where something is, they show me, and then we exchange thanks. The checkouts are not super-fast, but it is speedy enough where you will never be left baffled. Oh, and guess what! If you call Wal-Mart's customer service line, they really REALLY care if your visit was disappointing, and they always take steps to improve their business.
One really good thing about this location is that everything, and I MEAN everything is put where it goes. It is a pretty rare moment to find any one item located where it shouldn't be. And for a supermarket where every product is DISCOUNTED towards their competitors, that is just plain awesome. :)
There's a McDonald's inside, but as I said in a past review, it is absolutely awful! It has been... what, 8 MONTHS since I last reviewed that McDonald's?! They have not changed; in fact, they are even worse now! No longer will you just have to wait for food, the place is also DIRTY! The Wal-Mart isn't, but the McDonald's inside is! It is so dirty... you can even see dirt on the picture-framed posters! How on earth can dirt get between the glass and the poster?! That is soooooooo disgusting... reminds me of monkeys taking bananas near a palm tree! And a place like this gets a grade of "Letter A?!" That makes as much sense as giving a grade to a group of low-life, inconsistent business men for ruining our sense of dining!
*Anger...* X(
Anyways, back to Wal-Junk. So as I said earlier, the place is not dirty. The place is usually clean. I don't see any black spots on the floor, something I do see on the floors of Rosedale's Target! X( Another thing to note is how much stuff this Wal-Mart has. It has more to choose from than Best Buy nextdoor. In addition to that, the workers are better informed about electronic devices. You can come up to them and talk to them about all kinds of items: televisions, games, cds, radios, anything! And since the products are also cheaper, why even go to Best Buy? Do you want to pay $9.96 for a Wii wheel at Wal-Mart, or $19.99 for one at Best Buy? You choose.
In conclusion, this is a good supermarket to shop at. Their prices are cheap, the products are good, and the service is not bad at all. I give it 3 bananas out of 5. As for the McDonald's inside... well, you know. :P
