This little diner on Norris Road is a gem in so many ways. The knotty pine decor gives off a great ambience, the food is outstanding, and the service staff is not only quite efficient (their ability to stay on top of drink refills is second to none), they are all friendly, smiling, and seem to enjoy what they do.

For breakfast we've had the chicken fried steak, chili cheese omelette, ham and cheese omelette, and their pancakes. Each of these choices are excellent in taste and always hot at your table.

The lunch menu has all kinds of burgers and sandwiches. In my humble opinion, they have the best chili size in townl Also, on Fridays they have the fish and chip special with cole slaw. Their cole slaw is made from scratch and is the best I've had anywhere, any town. Although the fish isn't quite on the level of Westchester Bowl, it is still quite good and you'll feel like you got your $8.25 worth.

Give these good folks a try sometime. There may be a little wait on weekends, but it's well worth it.

The chicken fried steak is out of this world delicious. You always get your moneys worth. They are very generous.  The service is always great even when it is real busy. Never judge how busy it is by the parking lot, sometimes you can get right in if you sit at the counter. The wait is never too long unless you have a very large party. But, it is always worth the wait.  Never seen more friendly employees, always smiling and very nice. I will keep going there on a regular basis.

The Knotty Pine lives up to its local reputation. The chicken fried steak is as good as it gets. The gravy was good, the mashed potatoes likewise. The peas suited me but would not be  a favorite for many diners. On the other hand, while many of the sandwiches other diners had looked great, the halibut samdwich was a let down. Two small pieces of halibut that looked like fish sticks on a hambger bun. They do many things very well at the Knotty Pine and seem to be quite busy at lunch time. We'll go back.
