The best steaks in Bako... Great service and a nice, CLEAN atmosphere. The manager comes up and personally makes sure you are happy and the staff keeps the drinks full. Their steaks are the best Ive had in town. Have eaten there 3 times now and it has been consistently good.

this is just to let you know i had deceided to take my parents out to dinner for their anniversary there were several of us so we thought hungry hunter would be nice sience we still had a gift...
this is just to let you know i had deceided to take my parents out to dinner for their anniversary there were several of us so we thought hungry hunter would be nice sience we still had a gift card for at least 85.00 dollars left, (boy was we wrong) i went to ask the balance on the card just to be informed they would not honor it due to the fact they had recenlty gone bankrupt and the new manager was a real a-- we had alreay ordered drinks but before we received them the manager showed up to the table with no real managers skills at all he could have compt at least one round and said he was sorry but nothing so we deceided to take our buissness else where we we were treated with great hospitality, had a great time at black angus and was even sorry for the way their neighbors treated us and gave us all a free drink on the house with a biggggg smile, now i work with alot of people and have spread the word so many others have changed their eating place i hope your managers will take more pride in their customers they really could have brought in the bucks on our drins alone and our visit would continue not a bit sad

Dear deedeeloya
I would like to apologize for the Gift Card Loss but Unfortunately these Cards are no longer valid due to ownership change.
As you may not be aware the Restaurant group who sold you the card, Paragon Steakhouse Restaurant, Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May of 2008. Paragon was ordered in June by the Federal Courts located in San Diego, CA to liquidate all their assets or close existing stores to pay off their debt. In July, I entered into an agreement to purchase the Bakersfield Location.
Unfortunately during the purchase negotiations The Federal Courts would not allow me the rights to purchase the Gift Cards from Paragon. As you may guess this would have been in my best interest to assume this responsibility of the Gift Cards. However, Paragon and the Federal Courts would not allow me the proprietary rights required to honor these cards. Current Law views Gift Cards as Unsecured Debt. Under a normal business purchase I would be able to purchase these cards but because it was a bankruptcy purchase the courts would not allow me the rights to honor any of their debt.
I know this does not help you with your loss, but I hope you understand the loss you took was due to Paragon not me. When I spoke to my Manager about your experience he explained to me that he offered your group a discount to help with your loss, however you would not except anything less than full value of your card. We here at Hungry Hunter in Bakersfield look forward to a bright future by our continued efforts to improve food quality and service. We all are truly sorry for the predicament that Paragon put you in as a purchaser or recipient of one of their gift cards. In good faith, My Manager offered to give you a VIP card to help with the loss. You can receive up to $10.00 off every pair of Dinner entrees you purchase, up to six entrees, this is a $30.00 savings. I hope this offer helps, and will bring you back to enjoy our hospitality and great food. I would like you to know all of my Management staff and family is very sorry about the unpleasant situation we are involved in. If you would like to discuss this further please call me 661-328-0580.
