My family has grown up w/ La Cabana,Great food, terrific service!!! Solid Bakersfield eatery...I hopefully will take my grandchildren there to eat one day....

You must try the menudo. It is probably some of the best in town and I've tried plenty. Anyway, we don't go that often to this place, but when we do, we all have a very enjoyable experience....

I ate here last week, and while it's not the best Mexican restaurant in town, it's still pretty good.  I ordered a lunch combo with a burrito and a cheese enchilada, and it comes with rice, beans, and flour tortillas.  I think it was about $8.  The enchilada sauce was awesome, and next time, I'm going to ask if they could throw some of that on my burrito.  The tortillas were fresh, the rice was good, and the salsa is way above average.  The service was a bit slow, and our server didn't come back to see if we needed refills on beverages when we had empty glasses, but I think they were short handed that day.  After she brought our food, she immediately came back filled up our drinks.  I left satisfied.
