I did not want to like this place. I thought it was a deli/ ice cream shop in a weird location. I loved it! The wine was exceptional and the hamburger was great. The staff was friendly and quick. We had a party of ten and all were pleased with their meals. Great place. Wish I wasnt dieting because I want to go back soon....

I went to the Moo Creamery last night (Wednesday the 5th of Feb) with high expectations. A burger and ice cream joint is right up my alley, and it's local to boot! Sadly, I don't think I will be going back after my experience there.
My first impression was good - the place has a good design and is very welcoming. We (party of two) got in line to place our order. We had to wait a long time for the one person in front of us to place his order even though it seemed like he wasn't ordering very much. After that, the lady at the register busied herself doing other tasks for a few minutes while we stood there waiting. Finally she said "Are you ready to order yet?" Almost like we were wasting her time. She was stymied by the register system so it took a long time and a lot of repeating ourselves before she got it in, then we get stuck with a bill for $33 - much higher than I would expect for a burger, a sandwich, and two shakes.
The shakes came first and they were good, then it was a 35 minute wait for our food even though we ordered simple items and the place was less than half full. My burger was delicious but my girlfriend ordered the Rueben and it was very dissapointing. When you order a Rueben, you expect a heaping serving of corned beef and saurkraut on rye bread. What came out was paltry layer of corned beef with no saurkraut at all. The bread was good, but if you're going to call it a Rueben and you're going to charge $8 (without fries), customers are going to expect you to deliver.
I am sad to report that my experience in the Moo Creamery forces me to label them as pricey, inefficient, and stingy.

Hands down, the breakfast at Moo Creamery is the best in Bakersfield. I have visited Moo several times to enjoy their dinner and lunchtime fare but never had the opportunity to sample their morning menu. I went with a friend and we ordered the Classic Moo breakfast (2 eggs, pancakes and fruit) along with the cinnamon toast. Both dishes were out of this world. The pancakes are flavorful and of the perfect consistency. The cinnamon toast was buttery and sweet. I can't wait until next weekend so I can go back for breakfast again.

Read the reviews on this place and so decided to try them for breakfast.
The first thing you notice is the friendly staff ... they truly make you feel like part of the family. My wife and I each had a separate scramble. Very tasty ... very fresh ... I like the idea of substituting potatoes for pancakes. My wife had fresh fruit. Service is impeccable ... we had at least three different staff members stop by and ask if we needed anything ... and the owner came by, introduced herself, and made us very welcome.
Bakersfield has needed this kind of place for a long time ... great food ... great service ... very reasonable prices ... open long hours for our convenience. For those of you who have not tried it, you are in for a treat ... for those of you who have already discovered this place, I will see you soon !!
