I heard about this place from a friend who said he wanted to try the "Bacon Love" ice cream. The place is cute & the staff was very helpful. We went on Sunday night, not realizing that they serve family style on Sundays & have a set menu. We tried it anyway. The food was good - an attempt an more upscale diner food. I liked that I could get a beer (Blue Moon) on tap as well.
The Bacon Love ice cream is definitely worth a try! I think they must use a butter pecan base ice cream (or something similar) & then add candied bacon into it. It tasted like pancakes with syrup & bacon. I highly recommend it & would definitely go there again!

I strongly disagree with the harsh opinions given forth by the majority of the people reviewing this establishment. First of all, the staff is very warm, inviting and constantly looking to fill your drink order or lure you with one of their samples laid out on the table (I believe I tried the white chocolate brownie) and it was fantastic. Not too sweet, but with all the bang a which chocolate brownie should have. I would have loved to taste some of the beer they had on tap, but unfortunately I went during work hours. Second, I feel that the major reason most people are turned off by this place is because they bring a new spin on food and Bakersfield in general is slow to get with the times. For example, I ordered a hamburger that actually had a fried egg on top and an ice cream with bacon. Both sound awkward, but if you closed your eyes and just went with your senses rather than think what you were eating, you would be mighty impressed. The 3 of the 4 items ordered by my party were varieties of hamburgers and all were great from the mexican burger to the patty melt- all had fresh ingredients and the meat tasted like the classic burger mix--unfrozen 80/20 mix of chuck meat. Onion rings are to die for and the french fries have a mildly irony taste like what you would find with sweet potato fries. In all, dont be turned off by this place because of people who review this place (I bet they think Taco Bell is great mexican food). It's new, its fresh and I hope all you out there with even the faintest adventurous food spirit give this place shot. Bakersfield needs more places like this and less burger kings.

Went at lunch time. Terrible Service, bad food and too expensive to boot. We had to wait 20 minutes for a salad. Taco Salad consisted of greens, olives, canned tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Ice cream came before entree and no one ever came to ask us if we wanted more water.
Salads are around $8 and if you add chicken, around $10. Burgers are around $9 and don't come with fries.
Definitely not worth it.
