I purchased a milkshake to go. The straw went in rather easily and the cup didn't feel cold, those 2 things should have given me a clue. When I tasted it, it tasted like sweetened water. By the time I got to Oak Street the cup was empty. I pulled over to the curb and removed the lid. There was some foamy stuff on the lid and and some nuts and chocolate chips were at the bottom. I thought to myself, what did I just drink? The following day I called and asked if they used ice cream in their shakes. I was assured that they did. I told them that I was sure there was none in my shake. I'll have to say the person I spoke to was very appologetic and offered me a certificate. I decided not to take her up on her offer. My experience was a complete turn off and when asked, I tell my friends about the terrible milkshake.

Many call me a common old restaurant goer, so I should give this place my 2 thumbs up... way up 'till it reaches the sky! :)
Eliza does make some good points, but I must put my foot down and say that she is wrong. This restaurant is one of the most productive and friendliest restaurants my family has ever been to.
And the view... it's awesome dude! No kidding! I love it! My dad certainly likes it, he is tired of places that offer average food in an average setting. He and his wife come here for a great time, and especially to enjoy sacred dishes.
Great place and great food! A++!

i have been to this restaurant twice and am very disappointed. the first time i ordered a burger the second i came back to give the ice cream a shot. the burger was okay my fries were gross and soggy. the cookies and cream ice cream was good(very creamy and decadent) but it took along time to get my order and all i ordered was a sundae.
both times i've been there i have been disappointed by the customer service, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and basic restaurant standards. the first time i visited it was busy and it was pretty chaotic. the service was not very productive and it just seemed like the waitresses were just running around doing random things. there must have been 5-10 of them and we had to flag them down to get some service. we sat at the bar and the view wasn't very nice, the machines were dirty and there was dirty towels just laying around. i was also very disturbed that one of the owners walked out from the back and was wearing the nastiest apron (it was like she rubbed red barbecue sauce all over it) and servicing customers!
the second time i visited one of the employees was counting the cash register and the tip jar on one of the dining tables in front of the customers! he then proceeded to pass out the tips to the rest of the employees in the dining area! it gets crazier, the owner(she had on a crazy dirty apron again!) was standing 10 feet away and was not at all bothered. i did not see any of them wash their hands after touching the money, they just put it in their pocket and kept handing out food.
i was initially very excited with their concept and the freshness i thought they were going to bring to Bakersfield but it seems sloppy and badly managed. i was on the business's website and i thought i read that the lady owner had some experience managing a restaurant but it's not showing.
its not worth the money and I'm afraid i wont be returning.
Moo Creamery's Response:
i am terribly sorry that you have such a negative feeling about moo. we pride ourselves on cleanliness and we follow the strictest of health codes. of course, we are still new and are coming up with different systems every day to make things more consistent and smooth. as far as myself as an owner/manager, i am sorry to have upset you. i am not perfect and i do make mistakes. coming out with a dirty apron to service customers is not a smart choice and i have no excuse. making ice cream and big batches of bbq sauce can get a little messy and i will be more aware of changing coats and aprons more frequently. thank you very much for your comments - we use criticism as a way to improve on a daily basis. we strive for perfection on every level and without customer comments, that is impossible. so, thank you very much! if you could email us (email link on our website), i would love to send you out a gift card to treat you to a delicious burger and crispy fries! thanks again.

Wonderful food, atmosphere (any age group would feel comfortable), clean from top to bottom, including the restroom. (this is often not true in even the nicest restaurants) I have been to Moo several times and have never found any part of the restaurant to be less than impeccably clean. Love the outside patio, there is lots of parking room. The service is good, of course depending what time you arrive you seldom have to wait any length of time. I have had numerous menu items and have never been disappointed. The breakfast wraps are a great way to start your day. You must try the zucchini sticks - the soups are delectable - hamburgers out of site - And save room for a MOOd changing ice-cream delight (made right in the restaurants own creamery) to top off an already great meal. I have only once been disappointed, my onion rings were a bit greasy but I only mentioned it and was promptly served a new batch which were perfect. Local owners who are excellent chef's with good experience so they know how to make something for everyone's palate and have a great way of making you feel welcome.
