I love the Tai pizza and the Cobb salad is terrific. But if you like wraps they have some very flavorful ones to choose from not to mention the Coffee drinks and the wonderfull Smoothies!!! Yum!

I visited Camille's sidewalk cafe not knowing exactly what to expect. the layout is nice and inviting but there is so much going on I didnt know exactly what to order.
I decided to order the wrap sandwich and some soup. I eyed the desserts, but didnt have a chance to order one.
THey have the standard selection of drinks. Their sidewalk cafe is a terrace area in betwen buildings and provide some level of shade, although I am not sure how it is on a hot day.
My wrap was delicious and had some interesting combinations. The rest ofthe menu looked to be the same, unique combos.

Tremendous value coupled with a tremendously sociable atmosphere! I felt as though I were eating lunch at the Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara. Here's the concise rundown:
I’ll start with a paltry list of negatives for a change:
1. The restaurant was staffed with 3 very energetic, fresh faced and completely self-involved teenagers. These girls showed no sense of urgency and my wife and I waited 5-7 minutes to order in an almost empty restaurant. It is painfully clear that these girls are just there to take up space and collect a paycheck.
The positives almost seem too plentiful to enumerate (but I’ll try):
1. The menu is filled with healthy, fresh, and completely delicious selections that take a creative French/Mediterranean spin on the old soup-salad-sandwich fare. The desert presentation is AMAZING and I also appreciate that I can order a beer or glass of wine as well.
2. The value of the menu is incredible. For a little over $9 apiece, my wife and I received a fully loaded wrap style sandwich along with a generously portioned side salad that was loaded with fresh produce and fruit. From what I saw, $8 appears to be the average price for most of their entrees.
3. I felt as though I was out of town. During my years in the restaurant industry I often heard the happiest customers remark how an establishment gave them the impression they were on vacation or in LA. Camille’s does that for me.
It is often difficult for restaurants that do not offer table service to find top-quality help at or around minimum wage. If Camille’s hopes to stay busy for long they will need to inspire their employees or hire people who can get excited about the concept.

In my last visit to Camille's, I found a new addition to the menu which pleasantly surprised me. My husband stuck with his napa valley panini and my son tried the barbeque pizza and absolutely loved it. I also went with my typical choice, the cobb salad. As usual, the service was fast and friendly. For dessert, we just had to try their new frozen yogurt. I really loved my tart yogurt topped off with fresh strawberries, mangos, and raspberries. It was really refreshing at the end of a great meal without all the calories of regular ice cream. My son chose the chocolate-flavored yogurt and topped it with chocolate chips, butterfingers, and captain crunch and said it was the best chocolate yogurt he'd ever had!!!! My husand finished his meal with his favorite cup of authentic italian lavazza expresso. With Camille's I transcend the reality of daily life in bakersfield and escape to an atmosphere that emulates the likes of the great sidewalk cafes of Europe. Camille's continues to surprise us with its new additions.
