Simply AMAZING. Manny was a delightful addition to our lunch. Try the Tam burger with the special sauce it was killer, we had heard it was the best burger in town and the rumors were true! The burger was of a vacation gourmet resort caliber. It wasnt that busy during the lunch hour so its a great place when you feel like taking a venture. It definately did not feel like we were in bakersfield, thats for sure!

If your looking for a great dining experience and great food The Tam O Shanter is the place to get it. The drive from the Southwest is worth it. Nightlife is great, music by Bakersfields best bands and Dj's. This is a must for the intimate setting for anybody. Thumbs Up on the Tam O Shanter.

I agree with all the other reviews. There are many restaurants in town but none that will give you the truly fine dining experience that Manny's does. Manny is a very gracious host and the environment is very romantic and impressive. We have been there many times and never had any complaint about either the food or service. They are both excellent. It is unfortunate that Pete Tittl's friendship with T.L. Maxwell caused him to give Manny's are so-so review. It deserves much better as evidenced by the other reviews posted. It is truly a five star restaurant.

I recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out with friends or family.
A lovely restaurant with a pleasant ambience, good lighting, and spacious tables and seating accomodations. The place itself was very clean and tidy. It was mid-day, and the temperature inside the place was cool.
The food is excellent! There is a bar and extensive beverage selection; but I'm not a big drinker, so I was recommended a no-alcohol fruity concoction. (I don't recall what it's called, but I certainly enjoyed it!)
