Hello, I am a student at Bakersfield College, thought Id try to get a topic going on here. My major is Journalism and my minor is Computer Technology. What is anyone else going to College for? I would certainly enjoy a discussion about school, any school.

I've been done with college for a while now and have a laundry list of degrees to go along with it. I have a BS in Biology and a BS, MS and PhD in Computer Science. I've heard that BC is quite busy this year. One bit of advice if you plan to transfer to a 4 year college later, make sure to check what your courses transfer over as, i.e. what course number would they be counted as at the 4yr college(s) you are considering, and if those course numbers count towards your degree. It's not uncommon to have many units of "Elective 100" for your major/minor and to have to basically start over again for that. It's very much a "buyer beware" situation for those planning to transfer. |

Much like Shwaine, my degree is aiming for Computer Science, or possibly Computer Engineering at a 4 year college. As of right now I have about a year or less left at BC. |
