I love going to Ethels. I ride my horse when the weather is good, when not i drive. I go on sundays, good music great owner and help and really great people and the same ones show up every sunday that says something about Ethels. Also the food is great. Prices are more then fair. You will get more then your moneys worth. I have been going to ethels for 8 years. I will keep going to ethels as long as i live in bakersfield.

It has been a few years, but have always meant to post my exprerience at this vet. I have never forgotten about my experience at this vet, and as most pet owners know, it is hard to put out of your mind when something bad happens to your pet. Benji's French Basque Restaurant
Definitely my favorite Basque in town! I wrap the pickled tongue around the tomatoes/onions -- delicious. My favorite entree: scalone! Their house wine is eh, but they have a reasonably good wine list. I particularly like the Louis Jadot Beaujolais.

I along with a couple of coworkers went there for lunch recently. It took 45 minutes to get our food. We had to ask the server how much longer it was going ot take and she finally went to chekc on the status of our food. Once we got it, the burger was cold and the mayo on the sanwich had all been absorbed in the bread of the sandwhich. We told her about it and she said she'd go get the manager. This place no longer exists. THis place went belly up with out telling any of it's students or student parents. They even had the nerve to hold belt promotions the weekend before they shut down, collecting $20/each student being promoted. I will honestly say the instructors taught a very good style of Kung Fu. Too bad they weren't honest with everybody.

The food is cheap. The quality isn't bad. Definitely worth the price. I've been eating here for over 10 years now. I usually go with either the orange chicken or BBQ pork. There really isn't anything special to it. The service is not that friendly but they're so fast it doesn't matter.

I don't why anyone would ever criticize this place. The sushi is far more fresh than any other sushi restaurant in town. If you want some of that disgusting mushy tuna on top of your rolls, than fine, go to toro or ichiban. The sushi prices are about the same as any other joint in town. My wife and I went there this morning for the first time. It will not be our last! We both had the Skyway Special (Biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs, 2 sausages, and 2 strips of bacon.) Wow! This is hands down the best biscuits and gravy that we have had in many years! We'll be back! Next stop, Chile Size!

Although I love Ford cars and trucks as long as I live in Bakersfield I will not purchase another because of the service department at Jim Burke Ford. They costumer service employees seem to resent having to help you. They are condescending and act like taking care of you is a huge imposition.

I've visited the VIP Restaurant twice in two weeks for lunch and dinner. I was very disappointed to see the same ingredients to choose from for both lunch and dinner and the dinner price is $2 more. For the extra $2 I expected to see one or two additional selections at the very least. The vegetables did not appear fresh at all on my dinner visit. Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino
I've been here twice, and I liked it better than the Porterville option. It's larger, has non-smoking areas and it feels a lot more like a Vegas-style casino. The payouts were average for these stand-alone casinos: not great, not awful. We did not eat at the erstaurant so I won;t comment on that. We had a great time and I am looking forward to returning. It's a little over two hours away, so plan to take a room at the nearby hotel if you want a full weekend.

I love Outback. I recommend the coconut shrimp to start. They are much better than Red Lobster's. The clam chowder is awesome. Unfortunately you can only get it on Fridays. The best salad is the blue cheese chopped salad. My favorite steak is the rib eye. All the sides are great but my favorite is the sweet potato. The service is usually great.

Great place to board your horse. They take excellent care of your horse, cleaning daily and feeding good alfalfa hay and cubes. Judy and her staff are very knowledgeable in all areas of horse and rider training. Overall a very professional, well run facility.

I read the review in the paper and was happy that a Mongolian BBQ finally made it to Bakersfield. I was sadly let down when I tried it though. The person writing the review obviously has not been to many Mongolian BBQ places before. The selection of different foods wasn't that good, missing several ingredients commonly found at other Mongolian BBQ places. This place is by far the WORST sushi in Bakersfield. As a chef myself I would be ashamed to put out such a HORRIBLE product. I imagine their food cost is low because the meat portions on my rolls were microscopic and what little amount of meat I got tasted fishy and definitely not fresh. I have taken both of our cats to Allen Road Pet hospital. The girls at the front desk are Always friendly, and the vet takes time to pet and talk to my animals before any procedure is done. I am very happy and will continue to go there.

Red Robin is a great family restaurant. The food is always wonderful. Our food always comes out looking perfect. A+ for presentation. My favorite is the Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Sandwich. Their website is great for nutritional information.

Just got back from a first time visit for lunch at VIP Mongolian BBQ- the food was great! The location is off the beaten path but worth finding. I wouldnt go for the atmosphere but the service was good and the food fantastic. It was my first experience with Mongolian BBQ but not my last!

We lost our 15 month old Lab puppy here as well. My wife went to go pick her up in the morning and the vet wasn't even at the office for her regular hours. She then called 2 hours later and told us she was out of town for a "family emergency" and our puppy didn't make it! I can't comment on the food because we left (thankfully) before it arrived. As I approached the buffet, a cockroach was walking across the food. I can't imagine what the litchen looks like... The manager gave us our money back but we won't be back.

I had window replacements and Texcote applied. The sliding doors still have leaks around them, but the regular windows are great. I feel that I was mislead on the preparation for applying the Texcote. I may as well of just had it painted. The quality of work was and is not as good as was done on my previous home that was done by another company.

This is the most inhumane and cruel veterinary hospital I have ever experienced. Dr. Kamell put to sleep a family member's dog and the dog suffered terribly. She bled, cried, yelped, and was still alive after the dose was administered. Dr. Kamell had no heart at all with the awful experience they were going through. We went tonight (Saturday night) at 6:45pm. We almost didn't go in. There wasn't a single car in the parking lot. We went in anyway and were pleased we did. Excellent food, great service, a wonderful time. The orange chicken is one of the best in town. We were the only ones there until we got ready to leave. A couple came in as we were leaving. I sure hope this place starts getting more customers. I would hate for it to close down.

The store was smaller than expected and riddled with cardboard signs claiming 30-50% off retail prices. The staff were discourteous, dressed in sweets and attempted sell me a suit while talking down to me. I found the atmosphere unprofessional and a complete waste of time.

This yogurt is fantastic! I have gone to other yogurt shops located in Bakersfield and this place is by far the best.
