I would never recomend this place to anyone. They robbed us. We took our daughter in to get her FIRST hair cut. Just her bangs! We heard most places do first hair cuts for free. we were actually refered by one their customers, so we went there. The absolute best Chili Size anywhere!!! The meat is so tender, you can (easily!) cut it with a fork, and absolutely delicious! I've only been there 3 times, but every time the food has been wonderful and the service prompt and friendly. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield!

Yes, it is pricey, but yes it is delicious. I would not spend this much on lunch every day, but it makes a great treat on Fridays! Love the Chicken Italiano, and the French Dip. I am picky about tuna, but theirs is pretty good. The meats, and breads always taste fresh, and the portions are great. My only complaint other than price would be the lack of seating.

Having lived in Bakersfield for a number of years. I have had the pleasure of eating at Tina Marie's Cafe at least twice a week for years. I love the food and the company. It is like being in a extended family when you go to eat there. The portions are great and the food is out of this world. Not to mention the best staff in the city. I purchased a sectional couch on August 31st and picked it up Tuesday September 1st for $1450.00. It wasn't until Friday night that I noticed the metal underneath the recliner was rubbing against the side of the couch and ripping the mesh fabric underneath. Great BBQ!!!! I have visited Daves many times since the opening, and can say it is an above average restaurant. I have experienced some downs... slower service, something tasting off... but overall Its great and so much better than any of the others. The prices could be lower, but they are not unfair.

I've never had a bad meal here, and I love the atmosphere. French fries are delish, but I wish they weren't an upgrade. I like the beer selection in the event I'm in the mood, and the beachcomber tri tip sandwich is yummy, but when I say NO SAUCE, I mean NO SAUCE!

This place is a true bar. Dim, unpretentious, a mix of anyone and everyone, and an old guy at the door who kicks out the rabblerousers. Dart boards, cheesey decor that got lost in time, but the very definition of a tru bar where you go to drink and socialize with people, not to be hip and cool. I love this place and when I want to have a drink and relax, this place is topps.

Do people really decide to go to restaurants simply because of the decor and other gimmickry, rather then the food? And of that decor and gimmickry, do they never tire of the same old antique-stuff-nailed-to-walls-and-ceilings and wait staff singing badly in unison? Tropical Pools by Dana I would not recommend them to any person considering on having a pool built by her. I have had nothing but problems with her. My pool leaked, the spa leaked, the concrete cracked all over. The plaster in the spa had to be removed and re-plastered. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!! The Chinese theme cake for my daughter's sweet sixteen was not only perfectly designed, but DELICIOUS! Almost too pretty to cut into, but thank God we did! We ordered a cake large enough to feed the invited guests, but after some "extras" showed up, surprised we had more than enough to feed them as well. My husband and I were victims of a local builder who scandalously stole thousands from several innocent people. Katherine Fox was tough and competent - definitely the one to have in your corner. Undoubtedly the best Mexican in town and my personal favorite overall. I've never had a bad dish here, and I've eaten here alot. I see people complaining about the prices but I can't say Ive seen the prices increase, but I havent been in a year. As long as the recipes dont change its a winner! This place is quaint with a great ambience and excellent service.

I found this place to have very bland food and was really dissappointed with what I got. It's kind of a step above Taco Bell and a step below Que Pasa, which is pretty low. One nice thing is they serve bottled beer and the burritos are pretty good sized, but the beans taste like out of a can and it jsut overall completely processed.

This place is just around the block from my office so it's close for lunch. This place has Salvi food as well as Mexican. The Mexican food here is alright and the lunch buffet is mediocre, not great but not bad and a little overpriced for what you get but all in all just ok. I can't rate the Salvi food (Pupusas) because I think pupusas are nasty, but my business partners and my wife (all Salvis) love them and say this place has good not great pupusas but they charge too much for what you get....

This place is a good place to eat. I've had most of their dishes, and most of them are pretty good and closer to authentic than a few of the popular places in town (Mauricios and Que Pasa). Unfortunately it's on Union next to all the hookers and rehabilitation clinics and the atmosphere inside leaves alot to be desired. But, in the end, we're out to eat, and this place is pretty good. Their Seafood is great, but La Costa on Q Street is the best in town, hands down.

I have a large GSD, with chronic ear problems. The staff and doctor have always been very accommodating and helpful every time I visit the office. They are very professional and caring. Unfortunately there are some very negative posts on here, and I'm sorry for your bad experience. I, however, would recommend this pet hospital to anyone.

I think I see a pattern here. We too are at the mercy of these bandits. Their system failed following a power surge caused by the utility and they want to charge me to fix their defective system. Do not every consider this company and never sign a contract without seeking legal consul first. Buyer beware.

I, too had a bad experience with this place. My cat was sick and I took him in. They kept wanting me to run more tests which would cost thousands of dollars and the doctor wanted to get him in her care for 6 weeks on site. When I told her I could not afford that much money for my cat she left the room in a huff. I think I will make the extra 15 minute trip and continue going back to SouthWest Vet.

My family and I eat here regularly. The food has never dissapointed, and the atmosphere is great. I like my whole-in-the-wall places too, but it's nice to have a such a clean homey place to have some chile verde (theirs is good, and I'm picky) and watch a ballgame. It had been a while, but we tried it again. We're so glad we did! It was wonderful! The tri-tip was tender & flavorful. The chicken was great. And the fish & chips were delicious. If you were a fan of Grand China you will enjoy this place. Many of the Grand China staff work here now. The food is not exactly the same. Still the food is excellent. Fresh and tasty. If you liked the Kung Pao from Grand China you will like it here too.
