Great Staff!!! Great food for a low cost, and great service
Bad Service!
Slow service
Dirty!
Fabious' Corner has the most delicious Bar-B-Q in Rosedale. It's conveniently located in the Albertsons shopping center on the corner of Rosedale Hwy. & Allen Road. The owner was wonderful to talk to and the BBQ & awesome desserts will keep me coming back for more!
I would give the Taj Mahal average ratings because I think it is decent, but not great, Indian food. But it IS the only game in town.
Kosmos Restaurant and Sports Bar
Kosmos is the best dayuum restaurant downtown! Cool atmosphere, service is wonderful, and must i say Jimmy the Greek is the best. And there are some pretty hot bellydancer there too!
The best tacos ive ever had! You can never go wrong with La Villa Everything in their menu is great!!!
Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
Olive Garden is the place to go! I love everything they have in their menu... I always go and the employees are great! Always come back to check if you need anything... Good customer service Would recommend
Im really happy with Shakeys!!! Really good deals for birthday parties. Would deffinitely recommend to the people
I was born in the Lone Star State so when I found this place I was in heaven. Their BBQ sauce is amazing. The tri-tip sandwich is huge and hits the spot every time. Try the chocolate cake. The iced tea is great also.
Their egg-salad sandwich on toasted sourdough is great. All their ice cream dishes are heavenly and are homemade. The caramel sauce is so good we buy extra to use at home. Their whip cream is amazing also. Rosemary's has a 50's atmosphere with the wrought-iron chairs. Great place for lunch.
Super Tom's has the best carne asada tacos on the planet. They are prepared with a spicy marinade and served on 2 corn tortillas. There is a layer of guacamole over the meat. Then they cover that with a homemade salsa mainly consisting of fresh chopped tomatoes and jalapeños. Finally, a light layer of cheese caps off this amazing taco. Their fresh fries are awesome also. Super Tom's also has great sandwiches. Their BLT with avocado is quite good. Great prices, staff, and food...
This place sucks!!! The prices are outrageous and the food taste like microwave food. The service is horrible. Our waiteress only came once...and that was to give us our food. This is NOT the place to go to eat good Mexican food.....save yourself and skip this place.
The prices may seem high, but you certainly get your money's worth. The food is GREAT!! The atmosphere is very relaxing during the day and during the evening is perfect to enjoy with your partner. LOVE THIS PLACE!!
Benji's French Basque Restaurant
My wife and I have been regular customers at least 20 times or more per year for many years. We particularly go there on Fridays for their clam chowder along with a gourmet French Basque meal. The various sauces they use are exquisite. Service is always great. By far the best Basque restaurant in town and is good as any other type of restaurant!!!
I RECENTLY STOPPED IN BAKERSFIELD FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AS PART OF MY VACATION. I HAD HEARD ABOUT THE WOOL GROWERS RESTAURANT FROM A BASQUE FRIEND IN SO. CALIF., AS WELL AS WATCHING A SEGMENT ON BASQUE CULTURE ON THE HUELL HOWSER SHOW. I HAD THE "SET UP" FOR LUNCH-LOL. THE QUANTITY AND QUALITY OF THE FOOD WAS SUCH THAT NEAR THE END IT BECAME COMICAL!!!. I AS WELL AS THE STAFF HAD A GRAND TIME WITH MY AMAZEMENT WITH ALL THE FOOD. I SURE WISHED THEY HAD A WOOL GROWERS DOWN HERE IN SO. CALIF!!!!....
Go between noon and 2 and get the buffet. The pizza is pretty good, and so are the giant french fries, salad bar, enchiladas, fried chicken and other offerings. They have big TVs tuned to sports and big booths for families. It's one of our favorite lunchtime solutions. Be sure to use your "press pass" card and get the discount!
The food was very tasty and you get a lot of it, BUT the prices are too high for Mexican. We probably won't go back.
Our favorite place to go. So many healthy options, the appetizers are excellent. The menu is so different and varied compared to everything else in town. The drinks are REALLY great, always strong. Perfect family restaurant, great for little kids, but also nice for the parents.
Excellent food and entertainment. A great dining experience that gives you an opportunity to dine with strangers and make new friends. The newly expanded area is a huge improvement over the original tables, hope they remodel everything soon. Very nice bathrooms.
Nice atmosphere. The calzones are great, the pasta and everything else is sub-par for the prices and the reputation.
Its okay. Service is okay, food is okay. I could take it or leave it. Usually only go here when a friend suggests it because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
wow. You can not go wrong. Dress nice!
I thought Bagels & Blenders used tobe the most awesome place. I moved away and experienced Manhattan Bagel (a wonderful chain) and find that the local place just doesn't stack up and I can't eat here anymore. The service ain't so great either, at least the last few times I have been there.
Although this place recently changed hands, it has retained its consistently high quality. The salad bar is expansive and excellent (there are always copious amounts of spinach and other salads, fresh tuna, hard boiled eggs etc) not to mention an impressive array of breads (cornbreads included) But the best are the soups - basque bean, chili, turkey chili, vegetable etc. A very good option for lunch or dinner.
ok yes i am addicted to the super fries and always get them super stink and whenever i say that they know im in the house. yeah and raspberry wheat ale sorry for knocking over my beers the other night guys
Now here's a great place to eat!!! The food is like "mom" makes. You will not leave hungry and for the prices that's a good thing.
My wife Ellen and I have been going to El Portal for over ten years. They have the best Chili Verde and Chicken Fajitas in town. Their Margaritas are very good too. The owner Luis Navarro is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. We eat at this restaurant 5 to 6 days a week. We encourage everyone to give El Portal a try and and do not forget the Chili Toreados. Russell L. Rink, Bakersfield
Some of the best and cheapest lunch specials anywhere in town. Try the hot and spciy shrimp...it's great!
If you want all the benefits of great food and space to mvoe your elbows, try going there for lunch. We usually head there once a month or so for lunch and there's always room at the inn. Plus, without the throngs of the young and the restless the noise level is much lower, allowing for good conversation.
Best thin crust pizza around. I'd give 'em that last star if they'd deliver :o)
Tahoe Joe's Famous Steak House
Want to experience the best of Tahoe Joe's and not have to wait? Try going Sunday for lunch. Every time we've gone it's the same wonderful service and great food, but without the wait. The railroad shrimp are incredible and their salads are always top notch.
This is my favorite with regards to Chinese food and a top three as well. I’ve been going Grand China since I was 5 recently my girlfriend, which has also been going to there about for about the same time, and I tend to stop by twice a month. Great ‘mom & pop’ atmosphere, nothing too fancy here just great service and delicious food. Julia's great...and all the gals as well. Best Orange Chicken in town! Love the Tea, Hot & Sour Soup. All around Great place. Don’t forget to try...
This is a great alternative to your lunchtime sandwich. I really only get one thing: the chicken kabob sandwich, which is grilled chicken, grilled tomato and onion, lettuce, and a wonderful mayo sauce all wrapped in a fresh pita bread. Very filling. The baklava is great too.
I clicked 3 dollar signs because if you order a salad (which is a la carte) and dessert your total per person will be over $20. Great food, nice place for that 'special' dinner.
Sorry, I've never understood the appeal of this restaurant. I know it's a staple of Bakersfield culture but there are so many better places to get Chinese food.
Great authentic German food. Wonderful daily specials like roladen and meatloaf. Get the 'Hausplatte' for two: schnitzel, bratwurst, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, red cabbage, potatoes. Wish it was located in a different part of town but definitely worth the drive.
Two words: stinky fries. And three words if you count the great beer!
WOW! Great stuff. Kid's loved the songs.
I am a huge fan of Baja. I love their burritos enchilado style.....lots of cheese and sauce. Their tacos, taquitos and anything else I have tried is really good. When they say Fresh, they mean Fresh!
I love this place! I went there my first time every eating sushi! My recommendation is to go with someone who knows sushi if it is your first time. We ordered the Chef's choice and my date didn't even know what they were. I am not that adventurous but I tried quite a bit skipping the scary looking ones. I still to this day have no idea what I tried. I went there again recently for my niece's b-day and we sat at one on the grill tables and they put on an awesome show for us! This time no sushi...
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Uricchio's is also a very good Italian restaurant, and offers dishes with a bit more "pizzaz." But if you want hearty traditional fare, Frugatti's is the better place to go. They offer lots of good pasta dishes around $10, and other dishes for between $15-20. There's also good pizza and calzone. If you're on a shoestring budget like me, it's also a good deal since I've never been able to finish my food in one sitting. I always have leftovers for...
Slightly more pricey than most Chinese restaurants, but their food and atmosphere are worth it.
The best "I am stressed and need to eat something to make me feel better" place ever.
Dagney's is one of my favorite places for Soup the Tomato Basil is wonderful, its the perfert cold day lunch.
Very good food, and a great place for a nice lunch. Good selection of appetizers which seems to be a lean option at many restaurants these days.
Love this place. They catered my wedding and my guest were delighted. Artichoke Chicken Penne Pasta is a must try!
If my husband ever asked, and money was not an object, this is where I would spend every special occassion. Wish they advertised once in a while in the Californian or maybe the Northwest Voice so I knew what specials they had coming up. I love the lemon cheesecake and hate it when I go and they do not have it on the menu that week.
Perfect start to the day--cheddar bagel, toasted dark and a cup of Sumatra with a bit of cream. Excellent mini-vacation before the start of reality:)
