With top teams dropping all around the Division I ranks, it will be interesting to see how the No. 1-ranked Renegades open tonight's game against L.A. Harbor. The Seahawks need some big plays early if they want to stay in this game. They are 2-0 in Western State Conference play, but the Renegades just have too many weapons.
It will be interesting to see who the 'Gades use as their No. 3 receiver with Dashan Miller out with a broken right arm.
Kickoff is about 10 minutes away. I'll post updates throughout the game on a cool night at Memorial Stadium.
Update:
Well — so much for the Seahawks jumping on the 'Gades early. BC leads 14-0 with 10:24 left in the first quarter.
On BC's first drive, quarterback Jacob Bower hit Brandon Banks for 37 yards, which set up a 2-yard plunge by Pat Patterson. Bower then hit Attrail Snipes for 44 yards on the 'Gades' next drive to set up Patterson's second score, a 10-yard touchdown.
L.A. Harbor has yet to force a BC first down.
