Carolina Panthers coach John Fox on Friday named 43-year-old Vinny Testaverde the starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against Indianapolis. Testaverde got the nod ahead of David Carr, who is recovering from a back injury. Fox said he doesn't think Carr is 100 percent even though he's healthy enough to play. So a healthy-enough-to-play No.1 draft pick isn't considered a better choice than a 43-year-old journeyman? Mind you, Testaverde did win the Heisman ... in 1986!
