The Condors are on a roll, rookie sensation Mark Derlago is back from a five-game stay in the American Hockey League and the Condors are a legitimate threat to make the ECHL playoffs.
Who would’ve thought?
The Condors are playing good hockey, Phoenix and Stockton have stumbled and the three are locked in a tie for the final two playoff positions.
It’s been quite a comeback for a Condors team that has lost three veterans to season-ending injures, had goaltending woes most of the season and seldom played as a unit.
The Condors are now playing as a team, have shored up the defense, the offense has been contributing and goaltender Yutaka Fukufuji has been on a roll.
Five games remain for the Condors to salvage what has certainly been a subpar season and they can ill afford to to take a step backward at this time.
The goal of reaching the playoffs is within their grasp. Now they need to dig deep and get the job done.
