Last fall, I wrote about a development team's plan to transform a historic downtown building into trendy urban lofts. The concept is pretty unique for Bakersfield. The lofts fell behind schedule, but a reception and preview is planned for Friday night. And the developer has posted prices and floorplans on its Web site. The preview will be from 5 to 9 p.m., May 2, at Metro Galleries, 1604 19th St. -Vanessa Gregory, staff writer
