A Sheriff's patrol car that was submerged in Isabella Lake in late February has been repaired and returned to service. The car cost about $2,000 to repair, Sgt. Ed Komin said. It was valued at $38,000. Deputies had been conducting a narcotics investigation on Feb. 24 and had arrested one suspect when they returned to their car and found it in the lake. Another suspect had apparently made his way to the car while deputies were arresting the first suspect, and he sent it rolling into the lake, deputies said. The second man was found and also arrested, but denied sending the car into the lake. One deputy said that only the car’s antenna was visible.
