Monday, May 19, 2008 @ 1535 hrs (3:35 p.m. PST) reinforced 1st and 2 nd alarms f rom the Bakersf ield FIRE Department consisting of 5 Engines, 2 Trucks 2 Squad, 2 Battalion Commanders, 1 Deputy Command Chief, 1 Arson Unit, 1 Light and Air Unit, and various BFD support units responded to a reported structure f ire at 1525 Hub Street, in southeast Bakersf ield. First arriving BFD Engine Companies reported heavy fire issuing f rom a single story, singlefamily residential structure and a “working f ire” in progress. The f irst arriving Chief Off icer requested reinf orced 1 st and 2 nd alarms. Bakersf ield City FIRE crews were advised of multiple calls conf irming the f ire received by ECC, and noted a large, black column of smoke visible in route. BFD Engine Company Firef ighters arrived on scene and immediately deployed multiple hose lines to various locations of the structure in an attempt to knock down an extensive, spreading...
