BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE William Rector, Chief of Police For Immediate Release                       Friday, May 30, 2008   Fatal Hit and Run Update   The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating the suspect and suspect vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run accident which occurred on 5/23/08 at the intersection of Monterey Street and Beale Avenue.  The victim, Paul Waggoner, was struck and killed while crossing Beale Avenue.   Officers have obtained video surveillance from a nearby store.  The video shows a van heading south on Beale Avenue just prior to the accident.  The van is described as a:   Possible gold over gray mini van similar to a Toyota Sienna.   The van is believed to have damage to the front left side and possibly...
