Editor's note: Kenn Clifton declined to provide a photo or answer questions asked by The Californian for this race, saying statements he previously made were misrepresented in the paper. A story published shortly after he filed to run in the race said Clifton wanted to see a better plan for the district’s growth and he advocated curriculums to accommodate children with different learning abilities. The story also said Clifton felt some board members were too concerned with benefits and time off for teachers. Clifton later said he never made the comment about teachers.
