Attached are the two letters, one sent by the Ken Weir recallers, the other sent by Weir.
I fact-checked both, but the post was eaten. Rar. So let me just say, the recallers use "detractors" incorrectly, and the idea of this being a "well-planned conspiracy" makes me giggle.
I will retype one point, and that's about the comparison of property rights as defended by Weir vs. Westpark.
Weir wanted to protect Gordon Downs from having his land taken without compensation; the Westpark people will be compensated if they lose their home. So it's not like he's being a big hypocrite by supporting the study.
On the other hand, the Westpark residents are, well, residents; Downs had just bought his land to subdivide and sell, not to "protect, use and enjoy."
