Date: Thursday, July 17, 2008 Time: 11:48:37 PM Department Contact: Ronald Maniord Phone: 392-6003/201-2150 Details: On 7/13/08, Kern County Sheriff's deputies, from the Lamont Substation, responded to an assault with a deadly weapon report on Sunset Blvd. When they arrived, deputies found two (2) juveniles had been stabbed. Medical staff at Kern Medical Center, later, advised one of the juveniles had been stabbed near the heart. Deputies contacted witnesses, at the scene, that gave statements indicating this was a gang related crime. They provided deputies with nicknames for the suspects in the stabbings.
