Palin supporters! Drink it in. No, nobody is trying in prevent her from speaking. In fact, she's getting non-stop media coverage on every single word she says. Speaking her mind. That's the ultimate gift of the First Amendment. You can say anything you want to and in the case of the governor from Alaska, every-single-word she so much as mumbles under her breath gets all-day media play.
But that's not her complain. Sarah Palin's complaint is that the media has opinions, too, and that they are, quote, "negative", unquote.
Behold the genius of her complaint:
"If [the media] convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his association," Palin told host Chris Plante, "then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."
