Just when I get Fox Soccer Channel fixed, it looks like I'm going to lose my Star Trek reruns — and maybe The Daily Show, too. But as whiny as I can be about my TV, I wouldn't want to explain to my six-year-old why he can't watch iCarly. Viacom wants more money — they say 23 cents a month per subscriber — for its channels, including Nickelodeonplex, MTVplex, VH1plex, Spike and Comedy Central (which is currently rerun central). Now, other big corporations own expensive channels — ESPN, owned by Disney, is now at like $4 a subscriber, more than double what it was in the mid-90s — but I haven't heard of them threatening to shut down like this. And Viacom has done this before — I was a Dish Network subscriber when this happened there, and The Daily Show wasn't even in reruns at the time. So what do you think? Should Time Warner and Bright House pony up the money — and raise your rates? Or should they hold the line and tell Viacom to...
