Date:  Tuesday, June 30, 2009 Time:  1:07:51 AM Department Contact:Michael Whorf Phone:  661-303-4592 Details: The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Richard Garcia, who has a warrant for his arrest. Garcia is wanted for two counts of Child Endangerment. I have attached a copy of Garcia’s Wanted Poster containing his descriptive information with this news release. On 2/20/2009 Kern County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of an infant not breathing at Garcia’s residence in the 3100 block of Kentucky Street. The infant was found to be deceased. Subsequent investigation revealed that the infant’s parents failed to exercise proper care for the infant, due to recent drug use.
